    Otter Products is currently recruiting for a National Account Manager to join our Retail Sales team! This Account Manager opportunity will manage sales activity of one of our biggest customers, Walmart.     The Account Manager will develop and manage existing account relationships within Walmart.  This role collaborates with the Manager – Account Director to develop and implement account(s) strategy and will manage day-to-day sales activity with a focus on operational management, sales strategy and revenue drivers. The Account Manager will make decisions for the Walmart account that will impact the success of the organization. This is an individual contributor role.

     

    The Account Manager for Walmart will preferably be located in beautiful Fort Collins, CO – our headquarters.  However, we will consider qualified applicants that are located in Bentonville, AR or elsewhere, if near a major airport. If individuals are not located in Fort Collins, travel will be required at least 50% of the time, in addition to monthly travel to headquarters.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    • Core Sales/Account Management
      • Assist Account Director with revenue accountability
      • Support Account Director with P&L responsibility
      • Responsible for inventory management
      • Responsible for account management responsiveness – day to day operations/management of assigned account(s)
      • Partner with Account Director to identify new revenue streams, projects and products to drive growth within assigned account(s)
      • Partner with Account Director to maintain competitive insights within assigned account(s)
      • Assist with the management of retail, online, reseller and vertical channel strategies; executes on these strategies
      • Support Account Director in contract and program management
      • Provide accounts payable management support
    • Forecasting/Planning
      • Manage forecasting/ demand planning inputs with team (with team support/standalone)
      • Manage seasonal planning and NPI/NSI replenishment forecast planning
    • Marketing/MDF
      • May develop marketing strategy with shopper team/channel marketing team
      • Responsible for seasonal planning and execution
      • Responsible for events planning with internal teams/shopper/channel marketing
    • Team Management/Support/Development
      • None
    • Promotions Management
      • Responsible for the development of account or channel specific promotions
      • Partner with IPP team to implement promotional activity
    • Sales Training/Awareness
      • Develop awareness campaigns, retail and reseller focused
      • May be responsible for account, channel or vertical specific training, commission sales collateral to support promotion, training or awareness campaigns and monthly/quarterly activities for new product launches, training, etc.
    • C-Level Engagement
      • May have minimal interaction
    • Other duties as required

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required. Eight years experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
    • Minimum four years of sales experience required.
    • Experience working directly with Walmart in a sales capacity preferred.
    • Consumer electronics sales preferred.
    • Valid driver’s license required.
