    Otter Products is currently seeking a Buyer to join our Global Supply Chain team in Fort Collins, CO! As the Buyer, you will ensure that materials, equipment and supplies are timely ordered and delivered so the manufacturing process and time-to-market of our product will meet business needs. This position may negotiate prices with vendors, place orders, maintain records and coordinate returned goods. In this role, you will have a direct impact on our ability to create our products based on their materials purchasing decisions. This Otter must work collaboratively across many departments to ensure they have a full knowledge of our products including materials, tooling, manufacturing time, time to market, etc. Sound fun?     The successful candidate will have experience in materials requirement planning and supplier management. Analytical expertise is a must as this individual will be working in Infor/M3 and excel spreadsheets on a daily basis.     Responsibilities

    • Supplier Management: Manage strategic supplier relationships, often improving overall performance of new and/or poor performing suppliers, including improved on time delivery (improving lead time and time to market) and overall support of Otter Products requirements. Manage supplier performance metrics and participate in making recommendations on supplier management improvements
    • New Product Introduction (NPI): Understand all purchasing requirements on the NPI process. Utilize an understanding of the processes of cross-functional teams and how these interact with and impact purchasing and vice versa. Take a lead position in key NPI projects and serve as a key ambassador for purchasing.
    • Internal Communications: Establish and maintain effective work relationships; work closely with Engineering, Program Management, Planning, Marketing and other internal stakeholders to assure suppliers meet key Otter Products initiatives
    • PO Management: Ensure timely and accurate information is available for PO’s, providing key information to internal stakeholders
    • Quality Support: Work with Otter Products quality and suppliers to resolve product and service issues and meet key quality requirements and product qualifications
    • Invoicing Management: Work with accounting and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate invoice processing
    • Production Plan Management: Work with internal stakeholders and suppliers to target and manage priority products and services
    • Forecast Review: Monitor and communicate supplier forecasts, ensuring supplier understanding and management, accuracy in regards to supplier allocation and scheduling and tracking deliveries
    • Metric Management: Ensure accuracy of metrics related to supplier and procurement performance and communicate to suppliers for continuous improvement and impact to overall delivery, cost and quality
    • Travel: Domestic and/or international travel to meet with suppliers
    • Other duties as required

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
    • Minimum three years of procurement and/or Supply Chain experience required
    • Five years of supply chain experience preferred
