Otter Relations is nothing like any HR department you’ve ever known. This OR Business Partner will be partnered with the Sales and Marketing departments. This role is based out of our Fort Collins, CO location.


    The successful candidate will have a broad-based skill set with a focus on creating a people-based, performance-driven integrated company culture. This candidate must also have the ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited information or processes exist as well as work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks with changing priorities.     • Promote a positive employee culture by living our core values and the servant leadership philosophy
    • Develop strong partnerships with all levels of assigned departments to be viewed as a trusted advisor and provide high-touch support
    • Partner with Organizational Development, Payroll and Benefits, and Recruiting and Compensation to support, facilitate, and communicate messages, tools, trainings, and other related HR offerings to all Otters
    • Support people leaders to determine department hiring needs and lead strategic workforce planning initiatives
    • Assist with the coaching and development of all Otters within partner departments
    • Act as a consultant to guide partner department leaders through organizational design, compensation analysis, and recruitment activity
    • Partner with Organizational Development to analyze and roll-out employee opinion survey results on a semi-annual basis
    • Conduct succession planning and talent calibration with partner department leaders
    • Manage employee relations issues and conduct internal investigations as needed
    • Partner with the Legal department to ensure compliance with company policy and employment laws
    • Continually align strategies between the HR department and the business
    • Manage workload accordingly to provide timely responses, proactive communication to partner departments, and ensure accurate recordkeeping
    • Complete HR administrative tasks as needed
    • Manage HR projects throughout the year, as assigned
    • Other duties as required


    • Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
    • Minimum six years of experience (eight years of experience without a degree) in human resources including strong hands-on experience in all aspects of HR administration is required.
    • Three years of experience facilitating succession planning, talent calibration and workforce planning is preferred.
    • Experience supporting sales and marketing departments is preferred.
    • Professional Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) or Global Professional Human Resources (GPHR) certification is preferred.
