    Otter Products is in search of a Program Management Director to lead our phenomenal Program Management team. This individual will be accountable for the successful commercialization and on-time launch of new Mobile Case & Accessory products. The Director will partner with the Product Line Management team to scope and kickoff projects on the Product Roadmap and work cross-functionally aligning processes and policies that support key product strategies.

     

    The ideal candidate will have exceptional servant leadership capabilities. This Director will manage a team of Program Managers located in both Fort Collins, CO and San Diego, CA . Additionally, this individual will ensure cross-functional teams are meeting timelines for all deliverables, cascading broad communication of project status, and driving continuous improvement of department performance maximizing key metrics and the product management team dynamic. The Director routinely coaches and develops each Program Manager, insuring they have everything they need to be successful. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must in this role as this individual will need to effectively engage/lead broad, companywide improvement initiatives.     Responsibilities

    • Directs Program Management department
      • Sets department policies, budget, and staffing plan
      • Fosters a culture of Servant Leadership, and demonstrates by example regular recognition, learning and development of the team, and daily service to others
      • Manages PM performance through ongoing feedback via periodic One-on-one meetings, annual reviews and coaching in the moment
      • Leads on-going professional development of team members
    • Ensures the successful commercialization and on-time launch of all Mobile Case & Accessory products
      • Directs appropriate project loading for all PMs in the department
      • Runs Gate Approval meetings with Senior management
      • Assesses and reports company-wide resource loading and issues as it relates to the on-time delivery of the product roadmap
      • Ensures project processes are robust and well managed, always looking for improvement opportunities
      • Ensures the PM team is getting the support they need from cross-functional teams for on-time execution of all deliverables
      • Clearly communicates the status of all in-flight projects globally.
    • Directs on-going process improvements and policies
      • Seeks regular cross-functional feedback on department performance
      • Determines and directs project level process improvements / Leads team leadership development
      • Product Life Cycle process structure and adherence
    • May own/direct key company-wide processes
    • Support and maintain a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environment
    • Other duties as required

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required. Engineering, Business, of Product Development degree preferred. Master’s degree is preferred.
    • Minimum of eight years project/program management experience required. Previous experience in Engineering and/or Product Management environment or role preferred.
    • Minimum of three years previous management experience required.
    • PMP certification is a plus.
