    Otter Products is in search of a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to oversee and direct the planning, development and execution of Otter Products global marketing initiatives and strategies. As a part of Otter Product’s executive team, this servant leader will be responsible for leading our Marketing function and ensuring that our marketing strategies align with our strategic plan.  The CMO will role model servant leadership and hold team members accountable to these principles.

     

    We are looking for someone with a demonstrated history of driving aggressive growth, revenue and profitability in a high-volume B2B and B2C environment. The CMO will take ownership of driving and increasing traffic and online conversion for all categories and brands across our various channels.  The ideal candidate will be experienced in strategic brand management, online and offline marketing management, product marketing, media relations management as well as managing and developing diverse global cross-functional teams. This individual will ensure Otter Product’s message is distributed across channels and to targeted audiences in order to meet sales objectives. Do you enjoy being a servant leader?     Responsibilities

    • Act as a thought-leader for Otter Product’s brands globally, including all aspects of digital acquisition, business development, branding, public relations, communications, online and offline media marketing; customer engagement and retention, advertising strategy, and marketing analytics
    • Inspire marketing team members; set clear expectations and clearly communicate individual and team roles in achieving the marketing strategy
    • Delegate and empower the team, avoiding bottlenecks to maximize the value of each team member, while always promoting personal growth
    • Work with department and functional leaders to develop marketing strategies for company growth which includes determining which new categories, markets and services the company can enter
    • Manage and build global marketing teams including Social Media, Creative, Events, Content, Digital, SEM, SEO, Mobile, Content, Brand, Communications and PR
    • Create marketing plans, roles, budgets, goals and targets for all of the above teams
    • Work with products team to identify, develop and implement new revenue streams
    • Work in collaboration with the sales team to gather customer and market data to adjust marketing strategies
    • Build and maintain relationships and negotiate with creative ad, media buy and PR agencies
    • Build and enhance a strategy for creative production work in regards to building marketing collateral
    • Identify and optimize most effective offline marketing channels
    • Identify and leverage critical market and competitive data to segment and define target markets
    • Establish narratives and storylines to bring products to life across multiple regions
    • Create business plans and marketing budgets in collaboration with Finance team
    • Manage and communicate global brand guidelines and budgets
    • Support and maintain a positive safety culture by being an active leader in all safety program initiatives
    • Other duties as required

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Advanced degree in marketing or business (MBA) preferred
    • Minimum 15 years of well-rounded marketing or business development experience in positions of increasing responsibility- with a focus on marketing expansion
    • Minimum Five years of experience in a leadership role
    • Experience working in consumer products is highly preferred
