Overview

Otter Products is a fast-growing business seeking a Regional Manager who will be responsible for the overall turnover of the DACH region, taking a hands-on lead in managing our DACH sales team and building long-term strategic relationships with key partners throughout the region. They will report to the Sales Director responsible for South EMEA and DACH regions and they will be responsible for driving sales growth within the region, determining distribution channel strategy to service key retailers/etailers, driving their sales-out and penetrating all relevant sales channels in this region. The Regional Manager will role model servant leadership and hold team members accountable to these principles.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development and implementation of a successful sales & marketing strategy within the region to build on the OtterBox channels already in place, via new account acquisition, existing account management and account expansion, to ensure that Consumer channels (Retail, Online, Telco, Outdoor) and Enterprise channel are all growing successfully
  • Lead the identification of growth opportunities across the region and supporting team members to drive growth opportunities within their accounts as well as developing new account
  • Ownership of developing and maintaining long-term strategic relationships with new and existing key partners across the region
  • Through the principles of servant leadership, coach and develop team members to achieve and drive strategic business objectives
  • Proactively arrange and conduct client visits
  • Maintain detailed customer records, managing and tracking leads, sales, KPI’s and metrics
  • Build and enhance a strategy to leverage distribution partners to seek out opportunities and deliver and exceed revenue targets
  • Assume responsibility for regular sales Outlook and NPIs forecast and reports to ensure effective forward planning
  • Work with team on monthly, quarterly and yearly sales goals and plans to deliver and exceed company gross and net revenue goals
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and providing the best possible experience for the customer with OtterBox brand
  • Perform effectively in a variety of formal presentation settings; commanding attention and managing group process during presentation; changing tactics midstream when something is not working
  • Travel to trade show appearances to meet with customers and partners throughout the region
  • Develop and deliver innovative programs/campaigns to drive sales-out in all relevant channels
  • Serve as champion of product knowledge and training for both existing and newly launched Otter products
  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange selling strategies
  • Partner cross functionally with internal departments such as marketing, product, operations and finance in the execution of company strategic goals and objectives

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience leading and managing a sales team within a high growth environment
  • Strong knowledge of DACH B2C and B2B customers and Enterprise Channel is a must
  • Knowledge of the mobile phone industry or consumer electronics industry
  • Strong leader, used to working in teams and ready to be hands-on to support the team in implementing growth strategies
  • Demonstrated history of accomplishment and excellent knowledge of retail/Telco/enterprise and distribution sales challenges in the DACH region and how to sell successfully through distribution channels to deliver significant retail/Telco/enterprise revenues
  • An ability to exercise superior judgment to do what is right for the company, employees and the customer at all times
  • Possess good judgment about which creative ideas and suggestions will work; can facilitate effective brainstorming; can project how potential ideas may play out in the marketplace
  • Strategic thinker.  Able to take key product features, benefits, messages combined with knowledge of retail and business analytics and define new strategies and tactics to exploit opportunities
  • A planner and a closer.  Articulates the big picture plan and delivers against it 
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate in a variety of settings
  • Organizational skills and the ability to excel at details, multi-tasking, and working under pressure
  • Excellent leadership skills with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of PowerBI is a plus
  • Fluent written and oral German & English
  • Full clean driving license
