Overview

Otter Products is hiring an Equipment and Box Truck Operator to join our amazing Distribution Center team in Frederick!

 

As the Equipment and Box Truck Operator, you will apply standard operating procedures to support distribution center operations. Your role will be responsible for participating in the coordination of products in preparation for distribution and you may partner with the inventory team to manage inventory including discrepancies. As the Equipment and Box Truck Operator, you will safely operate equipment including but not limited to: forklift, electric pallet jack (EPJ), order picker, Turret, etc. in accordance with OSHA and Otter Products protocols. You will also safely operate Otter leased vehicles, including box trucks, between the distribution centers.

 

Available Shift: Monday through Thursday, 5:00 A.M. - 3:30 P.M. MT

Responsibilities

  • Utilize appropriate safety precautions to operate equipment in the distribution center including but not limited to: forklifts, electric pallet jack (EPJ), order pickers, Turret, etc.
  • Participate in the coordination of products including picking order per process, counts and quantities
  • May receive product and conduct support outbound distribution as needed
  • Utilize warehouse management system to restock or replenish product storage locations
  • May partner with inventory team to manage discrepancies and/or re-slotting of new SKUs
  • Responsible for immediately reporting any and all mechanical or safety related issues to the appropriate point of contact
  • Ensure powered industrial truck (PIT) equipment is charged and in proper working conditions for shift change
  • Moves material on power industrial equipment
  • Maintains flow of production throughout production run in an efficient manner to achieve distribution goal
  • Maintains in process inventory and ensures inventory moves are accurate and all documentation is correct and complete, accuracy is a must
  • May participate in performing general forklift upkeep
  • Safely operate a box truck to transport goods and materials along designated routes
  • Load and unload cargo efficiently, using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other equipment as needed
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any mechanical issues
  • Complete accurate delivery documentation and record keeping.
  • Support and maintain a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or have a high school diploma (or its equivalent, i.e. GED).
  • Minimum one year of equipment operation experience required.
  • Experience operating a forklift is required.
  • Experience with M3, warehouse management system, is required.
  • Experience with consumer goods production processes and inventory maintenance is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.

USD $23.00/Hr.

For US Based Roles Only - Base Compensation Range Maximum

USD $26.00/Hr.
